Because of the Coronavirus/Covid-19 outbreak and in line with official advice, my office has been closed to the public since 17 March until further notice.

Please be assured that my team and I continue to assist constituents, are available to help as best we can, and can be contacted as normal by:

Phone on 0131 600 0134

Email at:

 This temporary closure is so that my team and I can concentrate our efforts on helping constituents, whilst following official advice and ensuring that we minimise any risk of spreading infection.

Unfortunately, I have also had to cancel my weekly face-to-face advice surgeries.

I appreciate your cooperation and hope to return to normal service as soon as possible. This is obviously a concerning time for people, life as we know it will have to change to protect people, but everybody has a role to play in helping contain this outbreak.

Everyone should now be staying at home whenever possible. The permissible reasons for leaving home are as follows:

  • To shop for basic necessities but do this as infrequently as possible;
  • To take exercise, alone or with your household, not in groups, once a day;
  • For medical reasons – for yourself or if you’re providing care or support for a vulnerable person;
  • To travel to essential work if it absolutely cannot be done from home.

If you go out then please engage in social distancing (2 metres away from other people) to help reduce the spread of the virus and save lives.

Below are some helpful links that have information relating to the Coronavirus. As you are aware the situation is constantly changing so please keep checking the information as it is updated on the websites.
